Lou Marson could be a Phillie as soon as tomorrow, although manager Charlie Manuel said the team likely won't make up its mind until they re-evaluate catcher Carlos Ruiz tomorrow morning.
Marson, the Phillies' top catching prospect, was pulled from the line-up at Triple-A Lehigh Valley 10 minutes before the start of tonight's game, an indication that the club views a promotion as a strong possibility.
Ruiz injured his oblique when he went back to catch a pop-up in the bottom of the third.
Manuel said Ruiz would be re-evaluated tomorrow morning, although Manuel said that there is a potential for Ruiz to miss at least a week of action.
Ruiz was still being worked on in the Phillies training room when the team bus left yesterday evening and was unavailable for comment.
