Curt Schilling did not leave Philadelphia on good terms.

He asked to be traded in the summer of 2000 and the Phillies gave in to his request, sending the righthander to Arizona for the lucrative package of Vicente Padilla, Omar Daal, Nelson Figueroa and Travis Lee.

Thirteen years later, Schilling will return to the Phillies.

The team announced on Wednesday afternoon that Schilling will be honored as the 2013 inductee of the Phillies Wall of Fame during Alumni Weekend at Citizens Bank Park (August 1-4 against the San Francisco Giants).

Schilling went 101-78 with a 3.35 ERA in 9 seasons with the Phillies. He also went to three All-Star Games as a Phillie and racked up 61 complete games in 226 starts with the team.

Schilling went on to win two World Series as a member of the Boston Red Sox. But his first trip to the World Series came in 1993 with the Phillies.

Several of his '93 teammates will be back for the 20th anniversary of their season: Darren Daulton, Larry Andersen, Jim Eisenreich and Tommy Greene.

Also happening at Alumni Weekend: Brad Lidge will officially retire as a member of the Phillies.

“I had my greatest moment at Citizens Bank Park and I would like to officially retire as a member of the Phillies organization,” Lidge said.

Lidge will throw out the ceremonial first pitch on August 1.
