Looks like Holliday is no longer an option

SI.com is reporting that Matt Holliday has been acquired by the Oakland A's, ruling him out as an option in left field.
No word yet on the package that was shipped to Colorado, but the A's have several young outfielders, one of whom I assume was involved.
The Associated Press, citing a person familiar with the negotiations, said reliever Huston Street, lefty starter Greg Smith and outfielder Carlos Gonzalez are among the players who had been discussed in recent days. The AP says Holliday will take a physical on Tuesday.
Despite national speculation to the contrary, it isn't a huge surprise that Holliday won't be a Phil.
But at least it is now completely off the table.

- RWR is right as rain....Holliday will be exposed in Oakland. He should have made Philly his #1 destination. It will be interesting to see how this deal shakes out. - whooaaaaa there 93phils. Feliz, Happ, and Marson for a guy who's not really that much of an upgrade over Feliz when you consider Pedro's glove? I'm nautious just thinking about it. We can't just be "throwing in" a guy into deals right now that we may need behind the plate for a couple of years if Ruiz continues to have long bouts of offensive trouble. Besides, if you are going to send him somewhere, do it for an arm or a guy like Holliday, not Atkins.— yougottabelieve26
