Look on the bright side: Pitchers and catchers report in 35 days

Look on the bright side: Pitchers and catchers report in 35 days

I'm in the process of burning up some vacation days, but I thought I'd check in to give everybody a hearty pat on the rump. Thirty-five days from now, the Phillies hope the only No. 10 you'll care about is Ben Francisco, who seems to be the top candidate to fill Jayson Werth's recently-vacated spot in right field. Yes, hard to believe, but pitchers and catchers report on Feb. 13, with the first workout scheduled for Feb. 14. So as you attempt to come to grips with another unrequited Sunday, I encourage you to look toward a brighter tomorrow. Or, more accurately, a brigher five weeks from tomorrow.
