As a fan I hope Hamels never sees the field unless it is to celebrate a game seven win. As a betting man, sure, start him game 7 so I can load up on the Yankees because that is as close to a sure thing as you can get.

What do you think about Myers demeaning Hamels in the club house by insinuating he is a quitter. I don't think that is very team-like or motivating. It comes across as plain mean. I wouldn't have Myers back if I were the GM.

Hamels stated clearly as we all watched that he 'can't wait for the season to be over'. Expressing jealousy for those other 30 teams that have the opportunity to start preparing for their fresh start is good reason to trade him to some losing team so he can be happy and have all of October and November next year to wtach and get ready for 2011. If Myers did indeed confront him, good for Myers.

I would start Myers in game 7 (if we get that far)...what do we have to lose? He has the experience from last year and can be a workhorse if he is on...just a thought.

Hamels is the Phillies best option for game 7. Who are yuo going to start, J.A. Happ? He hasn't started in over a month and he wasn't pitching that well before that. Start Hamels and take him out if he implodes--but don't wait too long! It will be game 7 which means everybody better be ready! GO PHILS!!!!!

Pitch Cliff Lee. Lee on two days rest is better than Hamels. Lee will then have no fewer than 100-days to rest his arm before pitchers and catchers report for spring training.

Our best best, should we make it to game 7, is to pray for rain. Then start Lee on Friday. Otherwise, start Hamels and bring in Lee in relief.
