Major League Baseball announced the starting times for the remaining games of the Phillies-Rockies series.

The Phillies already know that first pitch tomorrow will be 9:37 p.m. EDT. Sunday’s Game 4 will be even later: 10:07 p.m.

If Game 5 is necessary back at Citizens Bank Park on Tuesday, it will start at 6:07 p.m. or, if it’s the only game, 8:07 p.m.

10:07 on a work/school night? Are they kidding? Selig is a joke.

How is it that the fans of the defending world champions are treated with such incredible disrespect?

Grow up people; it's about ratings. There are more people in aggregate living in L.A. and Boston and than in Denver and Philadelphia; the Phillies were part of the World Series last year and had THE LOWEST RATINGS IN MLB HISTORY. It happens. It stinks, but it happens. Man up.

I'm surprised that TBS hasn't brought back Ernie Johnson Sr. and Pete Van Wieren for their telecasts. Just awful. What makes them think that we want to listen to homer Braves announcers on national games?

All games should be played after complete darkness falls. Players should not have to try to hit a 97-mph fastball hidden in late-afternoon shadows. Kids? Just as we did decades ago, they'll listen to a radio under the covers.

Fortunately, for some, including myself, it's not a work night because of Columbus Day. First time during my working years that I get to take advantage of that.

People, if you check out the weather forecast for Denver.. Saturday looks like a day where it will not be possible to play. High of 32. Low of 25 with snow and ice.. Sunday not much better either with another chance of snow and temps in the high 20's at night.. Hope they wait till clear weather to play out there which will be Mon and Tues.

Look at it this way. We only get to miss half of the Sunday night NFL football game.
