That's well-deserved. Everyone knows Kruk was a colorful character, but he was great at not making outs. He's fourth among Phillies all-time in OB% at .400. amc312
Great for the "Krucker". Can't believe this guy never worked out or watched his diet. dogman5

Love to watch him bailing out against Randy Johnson in the All-Star Game. A classic moment! akh
Comment removed.- I heard Lenny offered o be on the Wall of Fame if the Phillies paid him $100,000 shawnmac

33rd member to make it? Hasn't it become an annual thing? I don't think even the Yankees have enough stars to warrant an annual induction. That being said, we all love Kruk. twothousandeight
I mean you can't be serious with Kruk being on the wall. This just shows the Phillies have zero tradition and history. He was a nice player but you are putting him next to Mike Schmidt for gods sake. Bad move Coachman
no you idiots. they are not retiring his number, just putting him on the wall with good players. it is a nice little honor. tremo12
"Once, Kruk was downing four or five hot dogs before a game, and enjoying a smoke. A female reporter was agast, and chided him with a statement to the effect "Oh! You should be ashamed to be eating hot dogs and smoking a cigarette! Don't you realize you're supposed to be an athlete?" Kruk just looked her in the eye and said "Lady, I'm not an athlete. I'm a ball player." Yermak29
Daulton and Schilling deserve to be on the wall now along with Kruk from that era. Looking forward to seeing Utley, Howard, Rollins, Burrell, and maybe Rolen up there in 15 years or so. Additionally, If Juan Samuel can make the wall from those horrible late 80's teams, then I say get ol' 541 on there too. kjuggs77
Totally asinine. Guys like Lieberthal are more deserving based in years as a Phillie. Can't they just have an alumni weekend w/o adding a member to what has become a meaningless "tradition"?
In terms of the All-Star voting, doesn't it make sense to vote for the players who have the best chance to win? After all, home field in the WS is at stake. krammar- I hope to God Liberthal never gets on that wall. You talk about a complete loser. He joined the team in 94' and left in 06'. The Phillies made the playoffs in 93' and haven't missed since 07'. This is no coincidence. He put up good hitting numbers (steroids?????) but could not call a game to save his life. He also had "special relationship" with Marlon Anderson.
