Howard Sitting

In the wake of the Phillies' 5-4 loss to the Brewers last night, the door to Charlie Manuel's office swung open and Ryan Howard lumbered out. The struggling first baseman had just been informed that he would not start in either today's game against Milwaukee or tomorrow's contest against Pittsburgh.

In the wake of the Phillies' 5-4 loss to the Brewers last night, the door to Charlie Manuel's office swung open and Ryan Howard lumbered out. The struggling first baseman had just been informed that he would not start in either today's game against Milwaukee or tomorrow's contest against Pittsburgh.

Greg Dobbs, who hit a key two-run home run last night, will take his place at first base.
