Here is a press release from the Phillies regarding plans for a tribute to Harry Kalas:
Memorial Tribute/Funeral Services
The Kalas family and the Phillies have announced that a memorial tribute for Harry Kalas will be held at Citizens Bank Park on Saturday, April 18.
An opportunity to pay respects to the Hall of Fame broadcaster will be given on a first-come, first-served basis to as many fans as possible from 8 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. At that time, all fans in attendance will be directed to seats for an on-field tribute that will begin at 1 p.m.
Additional information will be made public as details are finalized. Funeral services and burial will be private and held early next week.
Uniform Patches
Beginning tomorrow, players will wear HK uniform patches for the rest of the season. The black circular HK patch will be located on the front of the jersey in the area of the heart.
Friday night
The Phillies return home on Friday night to play San Diego at 7:05. The Phillies will also pay tribute to Harry prior to the game. Fans are urged to arrive early. More details will be forthcoming.
- I like the "High Hopes" idea--but you don't want to replace an old tradition like "Take me out to the Ballgame" in the bottom of the 7th. The 8th inning would get my vote.
If you thought the predawn crowd for Wing Bowl at sports complex was an incredible turnout wait to you see Philadelphia (minus the frat boy antics)come out for Harry the K! Earl J

Unfortunately, I have a prior appointment but my thoughts will be there! Love the High Hopes during the 7th inning stretch! God Bless You, Harry. I hope you and Richie are catching up. emilia b
We should just sing "High Hopes" during the 7th inning stretch whether the organization plays it or not! Harry brought the game to life to me as a fan with his voice, I think it would be great for us (as fans) to keep him alive through the power of our voice! Ceee
remember that parade in october? everyone will be at citizens bank park friday night/saturday morning. God Bless old friend wearethechampions
I live way down in SW Florida, but I raised my children in Boston as Phillies fans. We used to wait until the sun went down to tune into 1210 and catch the games from the 4th inning on---exiled Phillies fans in Red Sox Nation. When my two oldest (11 and 13 years old) heard Harry died, they were heartbroken. I'm glad I was able to give them the great memory of listening to Harry call Phillies games on the radio. rags
Can we forget the Phantic's birthday on Sunday and dedicate the entire weekend to HK Barry the Scoop
