Major League Baseball issued fines to seven members of the Phillies and Dodgers for their roles in the incident in the third inning of Sunday's Game 3.

By now, you might have heard about the events with Dodgers starter Hiroki Kiroda throwing a pitch behind Shane Victorino's head. The benches and bullpens eventually empited after Victorino gorunded out to end the inning.

Here is the rundown of the fines:

Manny Ramirez: $2,500

First-base coach Mariano Duncan: $1,000

Third-base coach Larry Bowa: $500

Phillies

Shane Victorino: $2,500

J.C. Romero: $1,000

First-base coach Davey Lopes: $500

oh yeah, this will really stop them. While all these amounts of money are signifigant to you and me, this is a drop in the ocean for these guys that make six digits or millions.

Victorino gets fined $2500 because somebody threw a baseball at his head? So he cursed at the pitcher, big deal.

I cannot believe that Victorino was fined. What did he do, other than almost getting beaned? I also cannot believe that Ramirez got the same fine as Victorino. Ramirez came all the way from left field to stir the pot. He should have been fined more than Victorino.

Go back and look at the tape to determine who started the melee. It wasn't Victorino. Victorino should contest the fine.

Why were there any fines here other than to the pitcher? No blows were thrown. All anyone did was wander around the infield.

It was wrong to fine Victorino, he kept his cool about the whole thing considering a guy just threw at his head. I'd give him $2500 for the HR he hit tonight though!
