Eyre hurt?
David Murphy, Daily News Staff Writer
The Phillies can't afford to lose a piece from their bullpen, much less a valuable piece like lefthander Scott Eyre, who recorded two big outs the last two nights and was credited with the victory Thursday suffered an apparent calf injury during the game. This, according to Charlie Manuel. Manuel said he "could be out for awhile," but we will not know more until tomorrow in Philadelphia.

Raul Ibanez has 58 RBI through 58 games. Even I can figure out the pace he is on.
(Hint: 58 divided by 58 times 162)

- Why bring up Kendrick instead of Escalona?? Escalona seems to be the better fit for Eyre's role bird11
- They probably don't want to burn up another option now on Escalona. Save it for later in case Romero goes down. RAS
The last thing you need when you are having bullpen problems is to repeatedly go into extra innings. Hitting needs to step up in the first 9. atp2007
Once you bring up a player you can bring him up multiple times on teh same "option". this acording to Todd from MLB.com (formerly from the Inggy) who mentioned thisd earlier in the year when asked about bringing up Mayberry again. fan_in_jerusalem- jerusalem is correct. You won't burn another option if Escalona or Mayberry are call up and option again. EL Zorro
