It lasted just two hours, 18 minutes, but it was long enough to knock the Phillies out of first place for the first time since May 31. J.C. Romero allowed a two-run, two-out double to Carlos Delgado in the eighth inning and Billy Wagner recorded his second straight save to give the Mets a 3-1 lead.

Romero allowed a two-run, two-out double to Carlos Delgado in the eighth inning and Billy Wagner recorded his second straight save to give the Mets a 3-1 lead.

The Mets are alone in first place for the first time since mid-April, and the Phillies are in second place for the first time since the end of May.

Should be an interesting final couple months of the season. . .
