Delmon Young's rightfield debut on hold

With the use of a designated hitter in Cleveland, Delmon Young's right field debut will wait until the Phillies return home.

Delmon Young hasn't played a game in right field since Sept. 29, 2007.

He will eventually be asked to play their regularly for the Phillies. That experiment will not begin on Wednesday night in Cleveland.

The Phillies lineup:

Cliff Lee is pitching.

Although he didn't commit to it, Charlie Manuel sure made it sound like he'd play Young in right field today when he spoke prior to Tuesday's game. 

"I’ve been thinking about getting him a game [at right field] before we get home," Manuel said. "I might do that."

Instead, it appears he'll wait until Thursday at Citizens Bank Park against the Marlins.
