Charlie Manuel curiously avoided using veteran righthander Chan Ho Park last night, despite a situation that seemed tailor made for his talents a multiple innings reliever. Today, Manuel explained why: Park was sick, one of several Phillies who have battled the flu bug over the past few days. Manuel said the team's training staff informed him that Park was under the weather just before the game. Thus, he decided to rely on J.A. Happ and righthander Chad Durbin, who combined to allow two runs in 2 2/3 innings.

Park is questionable for tonight's game.

When will baseball reduce the number of games so that the season finishes by Oct 15? We could easily eliminate the interleague games and not start season until late April....no flu and better temps and weather for the WS!

Ibanez looks terrible at the plate. I'd bat Ruiz in the 6th hole tomorrow.

Feliz looked terrible to the last three at bats then the light went on. Stay with Raul where he is.

Yo Murph-Thanks for the Hook-Up! I thinks it's the NYY organization that will be feeling sick when the Phil's win tonight, and then take two in the Bronx. Hey Philly, let's back our boys!!

Leslie Gudel brought the flu into the clubhouse. Everybody knows it. Blame Comcast for the Phillies losing the series.

Why not just avoid the flu problem and have the team get a flu shot?

Just let Cliff Lee go the rest of the way . . . he'll have plenty of time to rest when the series is over.
