Brown scratched with quad injury

Domonic Brown was scratched from tonight's starting lineup because of a quadriceps injury. He had been in the lineup batting seventh.

General manager Ruben Amaro Jr. said he did not think the injury was serious. Neither Brown nor the Phillies is sure exactly how the injury happened.

Manager Charlie Manuel said he had intended to give Jayson Werth a full day off.

Jimmy Rollins, after being dropped from the leadoff spot in the second game yesterday, is hitting fifth tonight.
