As expected, lefthander Cole Hamels was activated from the disabled list today and will start tonight in Cincinnati.

Infielder/outfielder Pete Orr was optioned to Triple A Lehigh Valley on Saturday, since the Phillies were not planning to play yesterday because of the weather.

Hamels, 27, was originally placed on the disabled list with left shoulder inflammation on Aug. 23 (retroactive to Aug. 13). He last pitched for the club on Aug. 12 against Washington at Citizens Bank Park.

Including the postseason, Hamels has gone 4-0 with two complete games and a 1.25 ERA in his five career starts at Great American Ball Park.

Orr, 32, made three pinch-hit appearances for the Phillies on the recent homestand. In his 32 games with the club this season, he has hit .227 with three RBI.
