Arbuckle lands in Kansas City, Orr Lands in D.C.

Thought I'd pass this along since a number of you have wondered out loud what will become of former assistant general manager Mike Arbuckle.
The Royals hired Arbuckle today as a special advisor to the general manager in scouting and player development. He resigned from the Phillies after the team informed him he had lost out on the GM job that was given to Ruben Amaro Jr. Arbuckle had been with the team since 1992 and was credited with playing a pivotal role in the development of the Phillies current core of players.

Another little piece of news: the Nationals re-signed infielder Pete Orr to a minor league contract with a chance to make the major league roster. The Phillies had been interested in Orr, but it appears he saw a better opportunity to earn a spot on the team in D.C.
bongo, you full of BS, we don't need a top grade pitcher, our rotation is good. We need a LF and you do not trade the bst slugger in the game for pieces you don't need. Move Myers to Pen? AS what? We have the game's bst closer already. If you do this stupid move, who starts for you?? jeff gross
