When will Phillies fans see the Yankees come to Citizens Bank Park again? It seems like it has been a long time.

I don't see why they think they need same number of team on each league. Now there is going to be interleague games all year long. Keep it 14 and 16 and have interleague play for a one 2 week session some time during the year

Yes, thank MLB - this was the worst move ever! Interleague now means nothing. Should have expanded with 2 more AL teams or contracted to NL teams - this is a joke

when there are uneven leagues, each AL team starts with a 5/14 chance of making post-season (35.75%) while each NL team starts with only a 5/16 chance (31.25%)...difference between AL West and NL Central is even more unfair with AL West teams starting with a 1/4 chance of winnning division (25%) and NL Central teams starting with only a 1/6 chance of being division winners (16.67%)...that's un-American

Why do we never play the Yankees?

My thinking was right the first time...12 games with in league teams for a total of 60 games. Yes, they would visit each city twice then. So what? Avoid that how? Raise the amount of divisional games? Defeats the idea of seeing more baseball stars visiting your place, right? That is the concept to begin with behind interleague play.

Nope...wrong again. Am I embarrassed yet? Not! six games each versus the 10 other in league teams for 60. That's better. 18 games each for divisional opponents...72...and 30 against two of the three other league divisions. 72 + 60 + 30 = 162 and more balanced.
And I once taught remedial math?? Must be my early dementia again.

Ha,ha. Phillies start home season against one of the worst teams in MLB. Also notice no road games against Pirates. Comerica Park might be fun stadium to visit. Detroit as city sucks, no two ways about it. Still, it's worth going to see a game there. Cubs away in late August, good weather and if you haven't been to Wrigley it's worth the trip.

As long as every team plays 162 games, and half are on the road -- last time I checked, they do -- who cares? A year or two ago, games scheduled about the Red Sox were worrisome. This year, not so much. A year ago, games scheduled against Baltimore and Oakland were gimmies. This year, not so much.

The 2013 Phillies start on the road, and end on the road. Memorial Day on the road, and Fourth of July on the road. Just like 2012. Can't they negotiate any of this with MLB?
