Sunday Morning Lineups

LAKELAND, FLA. - It's the first road trip of the spring. The Phils have arrived at Joker Merchant Stadium this morning for the second game of their Grapefruit League schedule, against the reigning AL Champion Detroit Tigers.

First, my favorite spring training memory: two years ago Wilson Valdez wasn't on the travel roster (not every player makes every trip) but there he was on the bus and in Fort Myers when the Phils arrived after the 2 1/2 hour drive from Clearwater. Ah, Wilson. A fan favorite for good reason.

OK, back to 2013 and, more specifically, today: Roy Halladay is making his spring debut and it should be fun. The Tigers have their regular lineup and also have the best pitcher in baseball sharing the mound with the two-time Cy Young Award-winning Halladay: Justin Verlander.

Sorry, no Kate Upton though. You can't get everything you want.

Here are today's lineups.

PHILS

1. Jimmy Rollins, SS

2. Tyson Gillies, CF

3. Carlos Ruiz, C

4. Ryan Howard, 1B

5. Darin Ruf, DH

6. John Mayberry Jr., RF

7. Kevin Frandsen, 3B

8. Freddy Galvis, 2B

9. Zach Collier, LF

TIGERS

1. Austin Jackson, CF

2. Torri Hunter, RF

3. Miguel Cabrera, 3B

4. Prince Fielder, 1B

5. Victor Martinez, DH

6. Andy Dirks, LF

7. Alex Avila, C

First pitch is 1:05. Today's game is not televised. You can listen on the radio, though. (1210-AM)
