One of the more unique homes in the Philadelphia region recently got a new owner.

Schwenksville's geodesic Bucky Fuller home sold last month for $450,000 after being on and off the market since 2007.

The home's design, developed by renowned architect, theorist and inventor Buckminster "Bucky" Fuller, consists of two domes, which are connected by a hallway. The home includes energy efficient features, including a glass-enclosed sunroom with an eight-person hot tub. This room has a thermostat control and assists with the heating of the house.

The 5,600-square-foot home has four bedrooms and two-and-a-half baths. The prior owners bought it from the developer, who built the home in 1982.

The master suite is on the first floor, and has walk-in closets and a vanity/make-up area. The home also includes a free-standing fireplace, a built-in wet bar, and a two-car dome garage.
