Property Line: Society Hill bargains less than $400,000

In addition to a bunch of I.M. Pei architecture and cobblestone streets, Society Hill is noted for being home to the most 18th-and early 19th-century homes of any neighborhood in the United States. All of which adds up to some pretty tony sales prices to match.

At an average listing price of just north of $699,000 and an average sales price of $550,000, what Society Hill isn't known for is its bargains. Below, a look at what deals there are to be had under $400,000.

413 Spruce Street, #3
$395,000
This bi-level 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo offers an open and spacious living and dining area with parquet floors and wood-burning fireplace. The real gem here, though, is the private deck with great vies of Center City.

243 Delancey Street, C
$375,000
This trinity is overflowing with cachet. There's the Delancey Street address, the exposed brick and beams, the pine flooring. But clearly there is one standout feature here: a really phenomenal window seat.

1 Willings Alley Mews
$361,000
Living in a mews of any kind could be bonus enough. This townhome also includes a double-vaulted brick ceiling and a built-in wine rack. A small balcony adds even more exclusive private space.
