Exactly one year ago, we wrote about this historic Society Hill home for our weekly On the Market feature. The 2,624-square-foot home is still for sale, but for $25,000 less.

Listed for $900,000, the free-standing home had a pending sale in April, but quickly went back on the market, according to public records.

The home is located on Lawrence Court, right off 4th Street between Pine and Spruce streets. It has a private gated area and a garden, which won an award in 2009 from the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society. The current owners, Marcia and David Harwitz, said those two features, plus the Center City location interested them in the home when they were moving from New York City in 2004. They put it on the market last year to move to Wynnewood, where their children attend school.

The home, built in the 1700s, is comprised of three trinities side-by-side. Original features include the seven fireplaces, hardwood floors, and crown moldings. The Harwitzes upgraded the kitchen and renovated the bathrooms, and said much of the home had already modern upgrades.

The home has three bedrooms and two-and-a-half baths, and one year of paid parking is included.

Some standout features include the custom built-ins in two of the bedrooms and the basement, panoramic garden views from the family room, and a dining room with a built-in bar.
