New TV show will highlight Philadelphia homes for sale

House hunters in the Philadelphia region will soon be able to get a tour of open houses without even having to leave their couches.

House hunters in the Philadelphia region will soon be able to get a tour of open houses without even having to leave their couches.

HomeJab, a real estate video production company, is launching its first TV show, "HomeJab Live," on local station WMCNTV on Oct. 4.

"'HomeJab Live' will be a fun way for people to learn about different neighborhoods and see local homes for sale," said Joe Jesuele, founder of HomeJab. "Our show will be like watching HGTV's 'House Hunters,' but every home will be in the Philly area."

Jesuele, a Villanova graduate, founded HomeJab a few years ago, a website where he and his team produce videos of listings for real estate agents and builders. After working strictly online, Jesuele decided it was time to give TV a shot.

"It's a very important step because I see real estate media changing dramatically over the next few years," Jesuele said. "Websites like Zillow and Trulia are filled with charts, graphs and photos. Our vision for HomeJab is to create a deeply visual experience."

In each episode, HomeJab will feature five homes across the region for sale. A realtor will take a host around the home and describe features and interesting facts about the home. The show will also provide tips, such as neighborhood information and how to get preapproved for loans.

"We're trying to get a sample of pretty much every type of home in the Philly market," Jesuele said.

In the first episode, HomeJab will feature a townhome in Graduate Hospital, a large home on the Main Line, a farmhouse in Chester County, a home on the Jersey Shore, and a modest home in South Jersey.

The weekly show will run on Saturdays beginning Oct. 4. So far HomeJab has signed up for 12 episodes. The station, based in Cherry Hill, is available through Comcast, Verizon Fios, Directv, and Dish providers. View channel information here.

Jesuele, a Northern Liberties resident, said while his company is getting ready to launch this show, he's also in the process of expanding HomeJab to 10 markets across the country.
