How much space does $1,500 rent you in cities nationwide?

You know we're suckers for a good infographic here. Which is why we love RENTCafé's matrix explaining just how much space $1,500 a month can rent you across the country.

Your dollars go pretty far in Memphis, where you'll find nearly 2,000 square feet of living space. But you're living in a closet in Manhattan, where you'll get less than 300 square feet. In Philadelphia, you'll get about 820 square feet, which means your rent comes at a premium of $1.83 per foot.

If Philly's average monthly rent – just a hair less than $1,500 a month – sounds steep to you, you might find solace in the latest rental report from Abodo. That rental firm says Philadelphia had the tenth most significant dip in rental prices last month, down 2 percent since June.
