The Pitcairn House, designed by renowned modernist architect Richard Neutra, has hit the market for $6 million.

The Pitcairn House, designed by renowned modernist architect Richard Neutra, has hit the market for $6 million.

The 6,303-square-foot home in Bryn Athyn is at the top of a ravine in the woods on more than 10 conserved acres, and is described in the listing on Sotheby's Real Estate as "a very private, hidden masterpiece" and "the quintessential house in the woods."

The property, which was completed in 1962, has many of Neutra's signature designs such as the floor-to-ceiling double pane windows and the sculptural walls.

The Montgomery County home, surrounded by the Pennypack Ecological Restoration Trust, is also full of nature inside.

As stated in the listing, there's a mirrored wall that "reflects the outside terrain and gives the illusion of a double staircase," and the floor-to-ceiling windows that  "connect the indoors with nature outside."

All of the living spaces are designed around a courtyard with a terrace, grass, sandbox, and trees.

There's even an indoor pool, a professional video editing and screening room with a sound-proof recording studio, and a private one-bedroom apartment at the end of the family room.

The home provides views of Pennypack Creek and is surrounded by wildlife.

"From every vantage point trees, birds, wildlife and weather changes can be enjoyed," according to the listing.
