If you are both handy with a video camera and close with a local veteran in need of a home renovation, National Gypsum has a project for you.
The drywall manufacturer is now accepting video applications for the Delaware Valley iteration of its Purple-to-Perfect contest, which will bestow a room renovation project worth up to $30,000 on a local veteran. National Gypsum, already partnered with Purple Heart Homes, is working with the DIY Network's Anitra Mecadon on the project.
To enter, you must create a 60-second video pitch explaining why a veteran in your life needs a new bathroom, kitchen, family room, bedroom or garage and upload it to the contest website by Sunday, June 4. As with almost every user-generated-content contest out there, you're turning over all rights of your video project to National Gypsum, but $30,000 could do a lot for your family room.
The prize package includes room design, construction, labor, materials and even décor, appliances, furniture and paint.
