. Unable to find a buyer, Utley and his wife, Jen, have now made their Washington Square condo available for rent for $17,500 per month.
According to listing agent Melanie Stecura of Kurfiss Sotheby's International Realty, the Utleys purchased two condos in The Ayer building – a bi-level penthouse and the condo below it – and converted it into a three-story 4,500-square-foot penthouse in 2008.
"It's a tri-plex which is really unusual," Stecura said. "It feels more like a house."
The large four-bedroom, four-and-a-half bath condo features two entertaining spaces, dramatic arched windows, a wine storage unit, a private elevator, and two en-suite guest bedrooms.
Stecura said because the Utleys purchased the home as two apartments, the condo comes with double the features typically offered in the prestigious Center City building: two decks with great views of the city, two valet parking spaces and two storage units.
The couple purchased the home in 2008 for $4.19 million, and have since moved to a new house with their two-year-old son, Benjamin.
