Quanzell Lambert will sign with Rutgers on Wednesday, Timber Creek coach Rob Hinson said Tuesday night.
Lambert, an All-South Jersey linebacker regarded as one of Rutgers' top recruits, never de-committed after Greg Schiano left the program to become the head coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the NFL.
It wouldn't be quite right to say that Brian Keller changed his mind after sleeping on his decision.
He hardly closed his eyes on Monday night.
"I could tell you every paint chip on my ceiling," said Keller, a senior at Triton.
Triton senior Brian Keller committed to Lehigh University and Haddonfield senior Matt Bhaya committed to Holy Cross in football developments on Monday.
In addition, Haddonfield senior Alex Walter has committed to Princeton for football, according to Haddonfield coach Frank DeLano.
Keller, a All-South Jersey defensive end who also played quarterback for the 8-3 Mustangs last season, said he chose Lehigh over Lafayette. He also visited Holy Cross and Colgate.
The top four teams stayed in place but there was significant movement at the rest of the spots in this week's Top 10.
Holy Spirit is No. 6 with a bullet as the Spartans jumped from No. 10 thanks to an 4-0 week that included an impressive win at then-No. 5 St. Augustine.
Lenape and Paulsboro move up, St. Augustine and Westampton Tech drop down, Cherry Hill East drops out, and Shawnee re-enters the Top 10.
Timber Creek linebacker Quanzell Lambert is "still committed" to attend Rutgers University, according to Timber Creek coach Rob Hinson.
Hinson said Friday that Lambert is "taking some time" after learning that Rutgers coach Greg Schiano was leaving the Scarlet Knights to become the head coach of the NFL's Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Another week, another upset of the No. 1 team.
This time, Eastern lost to Cherry Hill East in OT as the Cougars Marc Schlessel hit a layup at the buzzer. It marked the second time in 13 games that CHE knocked off the No. 1 team (they beat No. 1 Bishop Eustace earlier this season).
When's the last time CHE knocked off the No. 1 team twice in the span of 13 games?
