Kingsway guard  Ray Lawry scored 31 points last Thursday against GCIT to reach 1,000 career points in boys’ basketball and join an exclusive club.

Lawry and Paulsboro's Kevin Harvey are the only two athletes in South Jersey history to score over 1,000 points in basketball and to rush for over 4,000 yards in football, according to South Jersy sports historian Chuck Langerman.

Lawry rushed for 4,615 yards in his football career. He has signed to play football at Old Dominion.

Harvey scored 2,161 career points and rushed for 4,028 yards in his athletic career at Paulsboro. Harvey graduated in 1996 and played football at Temple.

Harvey is the only state athlete to score over 2,000 points in basketball and rush for over 4,000 yards in football, according to Langerman.
