Basketball: CAL sets tourney pairings

Holy Spirit's 61-55 win over Atlantic City Wednesday night did more than clinch the Cape Atlantic American title for the Spartans.

It also secured the No. 1 seed in the CAL tournament.

Top-seeded Holy Spirit will host No. 8 Oakcrest in the first round on Monday night.

All first-round games are at the higher seed.

The semifinals are next Thursday night at Hammonton with the championship game set for 2 p.m Saturday, March 1 at Stockton College.

Here are Monday night's first-round matchups:

No. 8 Oakcrest at No. 1 Holy Spirit

No. 7 Mainland at No. 2 St. Augustine

No. 6 St. Joe at No. 3 Atlantic City

No. 5 Millville at No. 4 Wildwood Catholic
