Football: RV's Schneider commits to Austin Peay

By Phil Anastasia

Rancocas Valley senior Tyler Schneider has become the 26th player in South Jersey to commit to a Division I program on a football scholarship.

The 6-3, 230-pound Schneider has committed to Austin Peay, a NCAA Division 1 Football Championship Subdivision (formerly 1-AA) program that competes in the Ohio Valley Conference.

Schneider was the Red Devils' top pass rusher. He led the team with 7.5 sacks and also made 64 tackles and forced three fumbles.

As a junior, Schneider registered 56 tackles with 8 sacks.

Here's an updated list of South Jersey players who are expected to sign national letters of intent on Wednesday:

(Note: Mainland's Kenny Randall has committed to Temple but will not sign Wednesday pending resolution of some academic issues)
