By Phil Anastasia

Paulsboro went to 20-0 with a 70-58 victory over Bishop Eustace Saturday night in the final game of the Tri-State Showcase at Bishop Eustace's fieldhouse.

The second-ranked Red Raiders made 12 three-pointers -- including five from guard Cassius Carter -- and got a big game from senior forward Xavier Lundy, who threw down a pair of dunk and led the defense from the top of a zone trap.

Paulsboro broke to a 44-26 halftime lead, dominating the game with its defense and ability to crash the offensive glass.

BE rallied furiously in the second half. The Crusaders got great work from junior guard Flo DaSilva and Dvonne Trumbo and cut a 20-point deficit to 7 late in the third quarter.

BE also closed within 8 with possesion but could come no closer.

Paulsboro is 50-1 over the last two seasons.

"You have to give it up to our guys," Paulsboro coach Sean Collins said. "They come to play every night."
