Football: Playoff scenarios

Here's a look at the football playoff picture as teams enter the staggered finish of the qualifying portion of the regular season:

-- South Jersey Group 5: Williamstown has clinched the No. 1 seed. Eastern, Absegami, Washington Township and Southern have qualified.

Millville will qualify with a win over Hammonton in a game scheduled for Wednesday, and Atlantic City will qualify with a win over Atlantic City on Friday.

Toms River North will qualify with a win over Toms River South on Friday.
Cherry Hill East will qualify with a win over Cherokee if Millville, Atlantic City or Toms River North lose. Cherokee will qualify with a win over Cherry Hill East if Millville or Toms River North lose.

-- South Jersey Group 4: Timber Creek has clinched the No. 1 seed. Lacey Township, Moorestown, Kingsway and Clearview have qualified.

Shawnee will qualify with a victory over Pennsauken on Friday. Hammonton will qualify with a victory over Millville.

Toms River South will qualify with a victory over Toms River North.

Cherry Hill West will qualify if Hammonton loses to Millville. The Lions also could qualify if either Shawnee or Toms River South lose, but that scenario hinges on the result of other games that will determine residual power points.

-- South Jersey Group 3: Burlington Township has clinched the No. 1 seed. Delsea, Barnegat, Northern Burlington and Point Pleasant Boro have qualified.

Highland and Bridgeton likely will make the field as well but must await the outcome of this weekend's games.

Cumberland will qualify with a win over Delsea. Deptford could qualify with a win over Woodrow Wilson, pending the result of other games.

Camden will qualify as the No. 8 seed with a 3-5 record if Deptford and Cumberland lose.

-- South Jersey Group 2: West Deptford has qualified and will clinch the No. 1 seed with a win over Haddonfield on Friday. Cedar Creek and Haddon Heights have qualified.

Woodstown will qualify with a win over Schalick in a game scheduled for Wednesday.

Haddonfield will qualify with a win over West Deptford. Cinnaminson will qualify with a win over Bordentown on Wednesday.

Willingboro will qualify with a win over Lawrence on Saturday. Middle Township will qualify with a win over Buena on Friday.

Sterling will qualify if Willingboro, Haddonfield or Cinnaminson lose, and could qualify if Middle Township or Woodstown lose.

Buena could qualify depending on results of several other games.

-- South Jersey Group 1: Woodbury, Penns Grove, Glassboro, Gloucester, Paulsboro, Pennsville and Wildwood have qualified.

Schalick will qualify with a win over Woodstown. Audubon will qualify of Schalick loses.

-- Central Jersey Group 2: Delran and Bordentown have qualified.

-- Central Jersey Group 1: Florence has qualified.

-- Non-Public Group 4: St. Augustine Prep and Paul VI have qualified but both are looking at difficult road games in the first round. The Eagles could climb to the No. 5 seed with a win over Moorestown Friday.

-- Non-Public Group 3: Camden Catholic has qualified. The Irish will be the No. 5 or No. 6 seed and could play Red Bank Catholic, Pope John or St. Joseph of Montvale.

-- Non-Public Group 2: Holy Cross and Holy Spirit have qualified and will open at home. Bishop Eustace and Gloucester Catholic have qualified and will open on the road.

-- Non-Public Group 1: St. Joseph has clinched the No. 1 seed.
