Football: Williamstown beats Shawnee

Juniors Marques Little and John Chamberlin combined for all six touchdowns as Williamstown played a practically perfect game and overwhelmed Shawnee 39-0 on Friday night.

Little carried 10 times for 120 yards and two TDs and also scored on a 44-yard punt return.

Chamberlin carried 23 times for 142 yards and 3 TDs.

Williamstown (2-0), the No. 4 team in the Top 10, completely dominated No. 7 Shawnee (1-1).

The game was so lopsided that the last 11:55 was played with a running clock under the 35-point mercy rule.

LB Derek Lauria led a dominating Williamstown defense.

At one point in the first half, Williamstown had four TDs and Shawnee had zero first downs. At the time, Williamstown had 26 points and Shawnee had 28 yards.

"They did whatever they wanted," Shawnee coach Tim Gushue said.
