Zach Renna's sacrifice fly in the bottom of the seventh inning completed a rally from a 5-2 deficit and lifted Cherry Hill West to a 6-5 victory over Shawnee Thursday in an Olympic patriot baseball game.

Renna's sacrifice fly scored Brenden DelMonte, who had led off the bottom of the seventh with a double. Alex Injaian followed with a single to put runners on first and third.

"I was just trying to put the ball in play," Renna said. "I'll take it."

The emotional win was big for Cherry Hill West, which had lost four in a row to Shawnee over the previous two seasons.

CH West (3-1, 1-0) also takes the high ground in the Olympic Patriot race. Shawnee (1-1, 1-1) is the defending division champion.

Senior right-hander Andrew Fisher pitched four innings of scoreless relief to get the win for CH West. Fisher struck out eight and also delivered a two-run triple in the fifth inning.

Junior centerfielder Jarrett DeHart, who has committed to LSU, was 2-for-2 with two runs scored and a two-run homer for Shawnee.

DelMonte had two doubles and Anthony Canavatchel knocked in the tying run with a double in fifth for CH West.
