Basketball: CHE stuns Haddonfield

Senior guard Marc Schlessel scored 30 as Cherry Hill East rallied for a 62-59 victoryover Haddonfield Saturday in the CHE Invitational.

Schlessel scored six in the final nine seconds of regulation, including a three-pointer at the buzzer to force OT, and five in overtime.

"I didn't think it was ever going to come down," Schlessel said of his three-pointer from left wing. "It was surreal."

CH East rallied from a 11-point deficit in the fourth quarter. The Cougars also were down 30-14 at halftime.

"Down 16 at half, they were making their shots and we weren't even getting shots," Schlessel said. "We just had to get back to playing our game. We scored the first two or three possessions of the second half and that got us back in it."
