Hummel named girls' basketball coach at Lenape

Rob Hummel, assistant coach for the Lenape boys' basketball team during two state championship seasons, has been named the girls' basketball head coach at the school.

Hummel was an assistant at Lenape for 10 years, serving under Bill Lange and Chuck Guittar.

Hummel was an assistant when Lenape won the Group 4 state title in 2004 and 2009.

“We are excited about the energy and enthusiasm that Rob will bring to the program," Lenape AD Tim Walsh said in a statement. "He has shown his love of the game during his years as an assistant in the boys’ basketball program and I am sure he will bring that same passion as the head coach of the girls’ team.”
