An African tortoise who escaped from a Chester Springs home a week ago is safe after being picked up by a Good Samaritan and taken to a reptile rescue in Lancaster County.

Nala, a 52-pound sulcata tortoise, disappeared through an open gate last week, touching off a frantic search for the wandering reptile. My colleague Peter Mucha has the story.

Yay! That is awesome news!!! I'm so happy that Nala was safely reunited with her family!
