Delco cops seize "contraband" pig, refuse to return it

Delco cops seize "contraband" pig, refuse to return it

You'd think they'd seized a pound of pot, not a six-pound baby porker.

Cops in Ridley Township picked up a stray Vietnamese pot-bellied pig named Steve last week. When the owners turned up to claim him, the cops told them keeping the pglet was a violation of township ordinances prohibiting farm animals.

Instead of working out and arrangement, the cops spirited the pig away - they said - to "a farm near Reading" to be put up for adoption. They've refused to tell Steve's owners where he was taken or how even provided a report on his condition.

Needless to say the couple is distraught. They've made up T-shirts with little piglet's face and the words "Where's Steve?"
