Wes Welker's wife, a former Miss Hooters, doesn't think Ray Lewis is a 'role model'
It is safe to say that Anna Burns-Welker, the former Miss Hooters, and wife of Patriots’ WR Wes Welker, won’t be lining up to pay Ray Lewis respect when he retires after the Super Bowl.
Expect the media frenzy following Ray Lewis to be at an all-time high in the two weeks leading up to the Super Bowl.
Ray's already-dramatic retirement is amplified by the fact that his last game will be the biggest one of them all. Win or lose, Ray isn't going to go out quietly, and for many the next couple of weeks will serve as a celebration of a storied career.
While the Ray Lewis story serves as a nice reprieve from what is sure to be incessent Harbaugh Bowl banter, not everyone is so psyched to celebrate his send-off.
It is safe to say that Anna Burns-Welker, the former Miss Hooters, and wife of Patriots' WR Wes Welker, won't be lining up to pay Ray respect.
After the Patriots loss to the Ravens on Sunday Anna took to Facebook to air out some of her feelings about the Ravens' defensive leader. ""Proud of my husband and the Pats," she wrote on Facebook. "By the way, if anyone is bored, please go to Ray Lewis' Wikipedia page. 6 kids, 4 wives. Aquitted for murder. Paid a family off. Yay! What a hall of fame player! A true role model!"
Clearly Anna was upset that her husband didn't get the opportunity to play in another Super Bowl, and pulled no punches when it came to the Super Bowl XXXV MVP. It is safe to assume that she won't be rooting for the Ravens.
