5 questions: The perfect Wingette?

Complete Wing Bowl coverage

In preparation of the event, we asked five questions to several of the contestants, including last year's winner Jonathan Squibb. To keep them from hanging up on us, we held off on asking any questions about Snooki from MTV's "Jersey Shore."

Here are our five questions for Squibb:

Q: How do you prepare for a competition like Wing Bowl?

Super Squibb:
I’ve been going to a lot of buffets and eating to capacity. Every once in awhile though. Not daily, obviously. Lots of lettuce and water. ...I think one of the biggest parts is getting mentally ready for it. I play out the rounds in my head and how I think they’ll go, how I’m going to feel during that. I try to envision the feeling afterward, how I felt after winning last year.

Q: Where is your favorite place to get wings?

Super Squibb:
Probably Pic-A-Lilli's on (route) 206.

Q: What is the worst food you have ever eaten?

Super Squibb:
Olives. I don't like olives.

Q: If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Super Squibb:
Hawaiian pizza. I love Hawaiian pizza.

Q: If you could pick any woman in the world to be your wingette, who would it be?

Super Squibb:
I think I’ll go with Scarlett Johansson.

Next up was the Big Bambino:

Q: How do you prepare for a competition like Wing Bowl?

Big Bambino:
I drink a lot of water, chew on frozen tootsie rolls, try different wing-eating techniques. Things like that.

Q: Where is your favorite place to get wings?

Big Bambino:
South Philly Bar and Grill

Q: What is the worst food you have ever eaten?

Big Bambino:
Tripe.

Q: If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Big Bambino:
Chicken parm.

Q: If you could pick any woman in the world to be your wingette, who would it be?

Big Bambino:
I’m going to have to go with Beyonce.

And Pot Pie the Sailor:

Q: How do you prepare for a competition like Wing Bowl?

Pot Pie the Sailor:
Physically, I have to level with you man, I have had no time to do anything. I’m just going to go up there hungry and just start grubbin.

Q: Where is your favorite place to get wings?

Pot Pie the Sailor: Sal’s Pizza in Mantua, NJ. His wings are off the chain.

Q: What is the worst food you have ever eaten?

Pot Pie the Sailor:
Seafood. I hate it in all shapes and sizes. The smell, the taste, I hate everything about it.

Q: If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Pot Pie the Sailor:
Macaroni, meatballs and sausage. Does that count as three? Cause you can’t have macaroni by itself, you need the meat.

Q: If you could pick any woman in the world to be your wingette, who would it be?

Pot Pie the Sailor:
Shakira. She makes me think things.
