It's early in the season, but Phillies center fielder Ben Revere may already have the catch of the year.
In the bottom of the second inning during Monday night's game against the Reds, Revere went back on a fly ball and made an incredible diving catch. Revere hopped to his feet without hesitation and turned a double play by throwing the ball to first, forcing out the runner who failed to tag up on the play.
The Daily News' Ryan Lawrence and MLB.com Phillies beat writer Todd Zolecki were both highly impressed with Revere's catch. See their reactions and then watch video of the play below. Also, be sure to check out our pal Zoo With Roy's funny analysis of a photo that captured several fans' reactions to the catch.
Ben Revere with what just might have been the best catch I've seen a Phillies player ever make. Ever.

Absolutely ridiculous catch by Ben Revere. WOW. Maybe best catch I've seen in person.
