WATCH: Before defeating Hoyas, FGCU player photo-bombs us

POSTED: Friday, March 22, 2013, 9:32 PM

Florida Gulf Coast basketball player Chase Fieler made a bit of name for himself Friday night during his team’s upset win over Georgetown.

He didn’t have a great game; he scored only nine points, but did have a highlight-worthy one-handed dunk in the second half, which sent the Twitter a buzz.

But Fieler is about to be known for something that has absolutely nothing to do with basketball.

Before FGCU’s 78-68 upset of Georgetown, Philly.com’s Jonathan Tannenwald and the Inquirer’s Zach Berman got together to give a recap of the first session of NCAA Tournament games at the Wells Fargo Center.

It was a very professional scene with Tannenwald and Berman ready to give some great insight on the games.

There was one problem: Fieler was on the floor and he decided to spice up the video a bit and photo-bomb us at Philly.com.

At about the 55 second mark, Fieler takes it upon himself waltz behind the two and provides a little entertainment for the folks watching at home.

Tannenwald and Berman, completely unaware of the sheer comedy taking place behind them, continue to talk about Creighton’s Doug McDermott, but by that point, Fieler has become the subject of the video.

Fieler averages 12.2 points per game this season and was named all-conference for his efforts, but who cares about that when he’s photo-bombing us in the middle of what was supposed to be a video consisting of serious basketball discussion.

Congrats, Fieler. You got us and you got us good.

You got us so good, we won't call it a photo-bomb. We'll call it a Fieler-bomb.

What? the guy did next to nothing! This wasn't even worth mentioning. Take a deep breath and relax. Don't make something out of nothing.

The only funny thing in that piece is the shape of tannenwald's head.

HAHAHA! LOL! I love them "Kid Reporter" segments. Joey the Junior who follows the Blackhawks is the best. But this Zach Berman is pretty adorable too. I can't wait to see more of these segments.

Zach Berman is quickly becoming a media heavyweight in the Philadelphia sports scene. An incredible writer with an insight into the Eagles like no predecessor before him, Mr. Berman demonstrates his versatility as an on-air analyst for a sport that he covers only in passing. Future generations can now look to their own young "multi-media Stan Hochman" budding in front of their very own eyes. Chase Fieler seems to be excited about Berman's multi-talanted demonstration too. For those looking for something positive in the Philly sports scene, you need to look no further.

Psubrian "aka Zach Berman" no reason to pump yourself up. As for the rest of this, you accomplished getting me to watch this high school reporting video, but the bit was not noteworthy, let alone headline worthy.

This so called Photo-bomb was a dud. Good call CFGM, Psubrian I hope your feelings towards Zach are being returned but he is not even in the same league as Stan Hochman. I'll continue to look to Les for my credible Eagles info.
