November 1976. Robin Trower headlined a 3-act show. Montrose was second on the bill. Opening the show was a long-haired power trio from Canada who got booed off the stage after a 30-minute set. Their name was Rush.

When I was little my dad took me to see the Sixers play when Dr. J, Andrew Toney, Choc. Thunder Darryl Dawkins and others played for them. Loved seeing the Dr. light up the Celtics in the playoffs there. Great memories.

I went to a few circus there, I saw a few Phantoms games. The Motley Crue show I saw there in 2005 is the best memory of my life. They are knocking it down tomorrow. Philly Live was suppose to be 300,000 square feet, now it's scaled back to 40,000 square feet. There was really no reason to do this. And Ed could have taking better care of the place. Goodbye old friend. We will miss you.

Anyone know what time demolition will begin? Are they going to implode it, like they did with The Vet?

The demolition starts at noon, with a brief ceremony beforehand featuring Ed, Doc, Bobby, and Bernie. It will be shown live on CSN.

Vietnam War was declared over - Spectrum's pubic address announcement during a Flyers game. Standing cheers and tears. Also, remember seeing the Flyers in the '60's when no one was there and they couldn't give tickets away. Chrysler was a advertiser and they drove their demo cars on the ice, slipping and sliding all over. Great memories and great fun.
