oldbird -- you can keep the pop psychology

drhoffman -- Brown actually DID hit like a major leaguer last year. His defense needs work, but it will get there.

Also, Nix, Wigginton, and Brown hit virtually the same last year, and Mayberry hit better but it remains to be seen whether it's sustainable since it was so different from his previous 3,000 pro ABs.

If he absolutely tears up spring training, yes. If not, then AAA would be the best thing for him and for the team.

Brown unquestionably best position prospect in years. He has the ability to at some time to make huge impact for team. There have been players with his tools who for some reason dont reach their top level Phills will give him strong chance to make left his job. Its will be his to win or loose. With Howard out Mayberry can play first. If Dom's talent emerges Phills will be better team. Brown is still only 24 and some want to give up on this top talent unthinkable.
