Texans fans applaud Matt Schaub's game-ending injury

Matt Schaub complete 15 of 21 passes for the Texans this afternoon, for 186 yards, but still allowed a 31-6 deficit against the Rams by the time he left the game.

He still got some applause from the team's most *passionate* fans, though. This was due to the ankle injury he sustained that took him out of the game, which drew some gentle cheers - from Houston's own fans, remember - that turned more intense as backup QB T.J. Yates strutted onto the field.

Yates' rewarded the accomodating fans promptly by doing this:

More coverage

Nationals ordered to quit it with the drones

300-pound Temple recruit is also a speed demon

World Cup committee rolls eyes as U.S., Russia whine about each other

Sixers' odds for winning again this year not looking great

The Texans did not comment on Schaub's status, but we can probably assume "kinda sad." At least there's always other options!
