It was nice of Chip Kelly to start the Chip Kelly Era off with the first win of the Chip Kelly Era and the first loss of the Chip Kelly Era, just so we can get our ironic usages of the phrase "Chip Kelly Era" out of the way early in the season.

It was nice of Chip Kelly to start the Chip Kelly Era off with the first win of the Chip Kelly Era and the first loss of the Chip Kelly Era, just so we can get our ironic usages of the phrase "Chip Kelly Era" out of the way early in the season.

Also, it was nice to see the calls for Kelly's head were limited to the massively unstable. Needless to say, reactions were going to be strong. Brooks' optimism is admirable. His decision-making, not so much.

I guess we're going to assume he's broken into a zoo, and doing anything against the will of a bald eagle is a federal offense, I think. So he might spend the rest of his tenure in this strip being pursued by the FBI.
