Sixers reportedly trade for Kings guard Nik Stauskas

It had been close to 24 hours in the NBA Free Agency period and Sixers fan were beginning to wonder where the magic man Sam Hinkie was hiding, while the rest of the league's GM's were handing out over inflated contracts.

Late Wednesday night, we got two birds with one stone. If you heard an unfamiliar noise outside your window around 11:00 p.m., it was a WojBomb.

(A WojBomb, for those unfamiliar with the term, is when Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski scoops everyone in the free world for NBA news and trades).

It all started pretty simply. A salary dump that Hinkie seemingly lives for (but this time involving a Rider grad).

Then, just as many in the City of Brotherly Love were about to close their eyes for the evening, Woj opened them in a big way.

Stauskas was the eighth pick in the 2014 NBA Draft and can absolutely stroke the ball. His numbers with Sacramento were not great, but he finished the year making 50 of his last 118 shots from beyond the arc. The Sixers desperately needed a shooter, and they got one.

Not only did Woj rop the bomb, but Stauskas was quick to confirm on his Twitter that he is going to be a Sixer.

The only thing we don't know is what they gave up to get Stauskus, a guy Hinkie was high on before last year's draft.

As if that wasn't enough fun, the Sixers will get a protected first round pick out of the deal, according to Zach Lowe of Grantland.

Sixers fans will be able to exhale when they know who exactly it is (not Saric) that will be sent out West, and can finally celebrate the coming of "Sauce Castillo" as Philly dubbed him, to this city. Zach Lowe chimed in a few minutes later to put the Saric fans minds at ease.

All we know is this: Hinkie is gonna Hinkie. We don't know who exactly he gave up for this, but it seems like he's done it again. Kings fans have to be scratching their heads at this one. The move does free up a lot of money for Sacramento to go after high-profile free agents, but it still seems like a win for the Sixers (and the process).

UPDATE AS OF 1:10 A.M.: We may know what the Sixers gave up for all of this, and it isn't much. Remember when they confused everyone and drafted a bunch of players you haven't heard of? Well that's who Sacramento wanted. Pablo Torre of ESPN drops the details of Hinkie's genius.

That's not all, folks. On top of everything, the Sixerd will have the right ro swap first round picks with the Kings, according to Derek Bodner.

News flash: The Kings probably won't be very good this year. Their star hates their coach and visa versa. They have cap room, but to sign who? They very well could be in the lottery (and high up) next year, with the Sixers able to swap that pick.

Chicago holds the right to the Kings' first round pick in 2016, but it is top-10 protected. It is also top-10 protected in 2017. If the Kings keep the pick (in the top-10) the Sixers can take it. Hypothetically, the Kings could win the draft lottery and have the number one pick, and the Sixers can swap it for whatever they have. Yeah, seriously.

If this all holds up, Hinkie and the Sixers absolutely robbed the Kings. They waited for a team desperate enough for cap room and took advantage of them.

We'll figure out the official details of everything soon, but for now, Kings owner Vivek Ranadive will have to say goodbye to the draftee he loved so much last year.

1...2...3...NIK ROCKS!
