'Six Degrees of Kevin Garnett' is interesting waste of time

Slate Magazine introduced "Six Degrees of Kevin Garnett" today, a "Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon" clone that works solely for sports figures across baseball, football, basketball, and hockey.

Pick a player! Pick a second player! Click "connect!"

And the next thing you know, those two probable strangers are closer than they've ever been. While not all can be corrected in six steps or less, they won't take more than 12 steps.

You can cross long spans of time.

Or connect people with the same name.

Or even make everyone uncomfortable.

No matter how you use it, keep an eye on the clock. If not, you'll have "wasted" hours of time before you even know it.
