Revisiting last year's Eagles Stay or Go

Jeff McLane of The Inquirer released his 2011 Eagles Stay or Go list today.

You can have your say on our online polls page.

In this space, we thought we'd take a look at some of the more intriguing results from a year ago.

Let's start with (who else?) Donovan McNabb. Coming off a pair of losses to the Cowboys, 65 percent of you said you wanted McNabb gone. Andy Reid apparently felt the same way, shipping him to the Redskins.

And, well, you know what happened there. McNabb started 13 games, throwing 14 touchdowns and 15 interceptions. By the end of the season, he was third on the depth chart, and the 'Skins finished 6-10.

So who did Eagles fans want at quarterback after the 2010 season? It wasn't Michael Vick. 64 percent of voters wanted Vick gone. The more popular choice was Kevin Kolb; 86 percent of voters thought he should stay.

Somehow, we feel like those numbers will be a little bit different this time around.

There's been a lot of talk about how the Eagles let a couple pretty good pass-rushers get away. Jason Babin had 12.5 sacks with the Titans, and Chris Clemons had 11 with the Seahawks. While 67 percent of voters wanted Babin back after last season, 58 percent wanted Clemons gone.

Voters agreed with the Eagles' decisions to cut ties with several veterans: 62 percent wanted Brian Westbrook gone; 87 percent were ready to say good-bye to Reggie Brown; 63 percent when it came to Kevin Curtis; and 71 percent on Jeremiah Trotter.

On the offensive line, 81 percent said Stay for Nick Cole, and 91 percent said Stay for Winston Justice. We're guessing those numbers are going to take a dip this year.

And finally, coaching and the front office. After last season, 70 percent wanted Sean McDermott to stay, and 67 percent wanted Marty Mornhinweg gone. Could those numbers be reversed this time around?

We'll see. Once again, vote here, and check back for a roundup of results on philly.com.
